With playing more golf comes muscles, aches and pains you didn't know existed. It's not a natural movement! You sometime hear the comment 'golf is not a sport' and that nonsense. Clearly that person has never walked 5+ miles of 18 holes of golf and swung the club 100 times.
If you don't start out doing basic stretching and exercises specific to golf you will regret it down the road. Most of golf fitness is low impact, easy movement and stretching that will be incredibly beneficial in all areas of your life.
